Coale is the office Labradoodle puppy & was named after Sheri Coale, the The Hearing Doctor parents are Ed & Melody Vowell. "Mum and Dad"

Dr. Vowell is a native Tulsan and a gradaute of Memorial High School. She completed her undergraduate degree in 1998 at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders with an emphasis on Deaf Education and a minor in Reading Education. Dr. Vowell then attended the University of North Texas and earned a Master of Science in Audiology in 2000. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry & School of Audiology in 2003. Dr. Vowell completed her clinical fellowship in medical facilities in Plano, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dr. Vowell currently serves as an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Oklahoma Doctor of Audiology Program. Her vast hearing healthcare experience includes managing the former Audiology department at Claremore Regional Hospital and for local physicians. Dr. Vowell has worked as a Professional Trainer for Phonak Hearing Systems, one of the top hearing aid manufacturers, teaching and training about advanced hearing aid technology to other professionals. During her time with Phonak she covered the Heartland and SouthEast regions including Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Dr. Vowell is experienced in providing all aspects of hearing and balance care for children and adults. Comprehensive adult audiological evaluations, pediatric audiologic evaluations, hearing aid evaluation and fitting, vertigo/balance evaluation & treatment, auditory processing disoder evaluation & treatment, electrophysiologic evaluation of the auditory system, ototoxic/cancer drug monitoring, and cerumen management.
Dr. Vowell enjoys working with her patients, shopping, traveling, OU Football games, professional speaking, ballet, bungee jumping, and spending time with family & friends! Her favorite things include Starbucks hot and iced coffees, stargazer lilies, chocolate mousse, red wine, and pizza!
You will also occasionally see Aunt Paula helping around the office as well! Aunt Paula is Melody's sister and they are sure to make you laugh if you run into both of them in the office!

Ed Vowell is our Advertising Manager and Dr. Vowell's father. Ed primarily assists with our sales and marketing ventures but also helps out around the office when Dr. Vowell is teaching at The University of Oklahoma. Ed is a native Tulsan, graduate of Webster High School, and completed most of his higher education coursework at the University of Tulsa in Accounting, Finanace, & Marketing. He is a retiree of the United States Postal Service and served in the United States Navy. Ed's favorite pastime is bowling and he has been inducted into the Tulsa Hall of Fame Bowlers. He currently bowls on the Senior Tour Circuit and has won the Tulsa area City Bowling Champion for multiple years. If you have Bowling questions, Ed is the person to ask!
Dr. Vowell & Melody "Mum"!
Meldoy Vowell is our esteemed Office Mother! She helps answer your phone calls and questions, and assists Dr. Vowell and the office manager in daily activities around the office. Melody is a St. Francis Hospital retiree and continues to provide service on occasion for the 4North and 4South Hospital Floors. She is also the St. Francis Retiree Organization Group Historian. Melody is a native Tulsan and graduated from Rogers High School. She enjoys scrapbooking, OU football, shopping with Dr. Vowell, and excercising with her sister Paula at The Health Zone. Her newest favorite pastime is helping Dr. Vowell plan for her wedding next October!
You will also frequently see Dr. Vowell's fiancee, Brett Freeman, around the office assisting with all sorts of things! From helping Dr. Vowell climb tall ladders to changing ceiling tiles, to fixing computers, or simply watching a football game on the bigscreen television in the Hearing Aid Fitting room! Brett is Dr. Vowell's biggest source of inspiration and support for the office! Brett helps with all the autographed sports and entertainment memorabilia you see. His favorite teams are the Oklahoma Sooners and the Chicago Bears! He is a graduate of Jenks High School and the University of Oklahoma. He serves our local dermatology physicians by providing them with the most current information on dertmatology products as a Territory Manager for a specialty pharmaceutical company.
Keli Ewing is Dr. Vowell's Office Manager and cousin. Keli earned her Associate of Arts degree in Photography from Oklahoma State University. She is also a graduate of Memorial High School. Keli enjoys yoga and is a certified PiYo instructor, which is a pilates/yoga fusion technique! Keli's favorite things include Starbucks tea, coffee, chocolate, sushi, and animals...especially dogs. She enjoys football, boxing, shopping, and traveling! Keli handles all the daily running of the office & is the person to talk to if you have a problem and just aren't sure what to do next! Keli has a beautiful smile and is always willing to help patients feel welcome.

Around the holidays you may see a gaggle of little girls around the office giggling with Dr. Vowell and Uncle Brett! You will also see their "artwork" and pictures decorating various places around the office!
